John Kennedy McKenzie, 64, Raywick

John Kennedy McKenzie, 64, of Raywick, died Thursday, April 25, 2013, at VA Hospital in Lexington.

He was born Dec. 30, 1948, in Prince Frederick, Maryland. He was a carpenter, a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and a Catholic by faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Vincencia Holka McKenzie; one brother, Gene McKenzie; and one half-brother, Raymond John Angermier.

Survivors include his sister, Mary Ann Clark of Merritt Island, Fla.; three nieces; and one nephew.

Cremation was chosen. A scattering ceremony is 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013, on Beer Hill, near the end of Robert Lee Road in Raywick. Military Rites will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
