Bardstown woman indicted for alleged murder of boyfriend

Thursday, May 2, 2013, 3:45 p.m. — A Nelson County grand jury has indicted Susan Collette Marlow, 48, of Bardstown, for the April 10, 2013, murder of James M. “Marcy” Thomas, 51, of Louisville.
The indictment states Marlow was indicted Wednesday, May 1, 2013, for “shooting a gun at James “Marcy” Thomas and thereby causing his death.” Bail was set at $100,000 cash only, plus conditions, the same as set by Nelson District Court.
Marlow was arrested the day of the shooting and was lodged in the Nelson County Jail. Murder is a Class A felony punishable by not less than 20 years in prison. She will be arraigned in Nelson Circuit Court at 9 a.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2013.
