Kathy Blacketer Mullins, 85, Bardstown
Kathy Blacketer Mullins, 85, of Bardstown, died Monday, May 6, 2013, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. She was born Dec. 11, 1927, in Mackville. She was a self-employed hairdresser and a member of Bardstown Optimist Club. She was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) where she was a deacon, and a member of Christian Women’s Fellowship (C.W.F.).
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Maggie Blacketer; four sisters, Louise Sutton, Ruby Crume, Edith Tabb, and Dorothy Gilley; and one brother, Kenneth Blacketer.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Mullins of Bardstown; one son, Ron Mullins and his wife Marilyn, both of Louisville; one sister, Betty Wolf of Bardstown; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery. Dr. Rick Loader will officiate.
Visitation will be 4–8 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Barlow Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may go to First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Building Fund.
