ANGELA MUDD PETERSON

Angela Mudd Peterson, 87, of Lebanon, died Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Richmond Place in Lexington. She was born Sept. 6, 1925, in Fredericktown. She worked at the Lebanon Stockyards, New Farmer’s Tobacco Warehouse, and the Marion County Water District. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Cary Peterson; her parents, Xavier Eugene “Doc” and Pearl Gootee Mudd; one sister, Roberta McIntyre; two brothers, H.P. Mudd and Gonza Mudd; and one great-granddaughter, Madison Kate Burress.

Survivors include one daughter, Julia Ann Bengert and her husband Mike, both of Nicholasville; five sons, John Peterson and his wife Pam, both of Bardstown, Greg Peterson and his wife Marilyn, both of Versailles, Charles Peterson and his wife Sally, both of Memphis, Doug Peterson and his wife Julie, both of Richmond, Stephen (Chris Bolling) Peterson, of Cincinnati; three sisters, Sister Jean Gertrude Mudd, of Maple Mount, Geneva Mudd and Gertrude Nally, both of Washington County; three brothers, Tom Mudd, Bernard Mudd, and Joseph Mudd, all of Washington County; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The Funeral Mass was 11 a.m. Monday, May 6, 2013, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, officiated by the Rev. Bill Bowling. Burial was in St. Augustine Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to be made to St. Augustine School Scholarship Fund.

Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon is in charge of arrangements.
