Woman arrested Friday after noon-hour hit-and-run accident
Friday, May 10, 2013, 1 p.m. — A woman allegedly involved in a hit-and-run accident on Bloomfield Road was arrested Friday afternoon about 12:35.
The hit-and-run accident happened near the intersection of US62 and Banjo Street and was reported by the victim at 12:10 Friday afternoon. The victim told police a green 2001 Pontiac hit the victim’s Chrysler and fled. The victim followed the Pontiac north on Bloomfield Road, onto Hill Street and back to Bloomfield Road before following the car into an apartment complex. Sheriff’s deputies were on the scene quickly and found the vehicle and the operator. Deputies determined the woman’s drivers permit was suspended, and she was subsequently arrested and lodged in the Nelson County Jail.
