Woman injured after run over by zero-turn mower Thursday evening

Thursday, May 16. 2013, 7:30 p.m. — A 76-year-old woman suffered numerous cuts and skin tears when she was run over by a zero-turn lawnmower Thursday evening. Nelson County EMS was called to the 100 block of Venetian Way about 7 p.m. Thursday after the woman was struck by the mower while she apparently was planting flowers. Initial reports to Nelson County Dispatch was that she suffered injuries to her back and arm. She was taken to Flaget Memorial Hospital for treatment.
