Friday, May 17, 2013 – The following people were indicted by a Nelson County grand jury on Wednesday, May 15, 2013. They are set for arraignment on Thursday, June 6, 2013, unless otherwise indicated.
13-CR-097. Jon Scott Buechele, 29, Bardstown, burglary, first-degree and complicity to the same; unlawful transaction with a minor, second-degree; tampering with physical evidence.
According to the indictment, Buechele, acting alone or in concert with juvenile, allegedly unlawfully entered a residence armed with a deadly weapon with the intent to commit a crime. When he believed an official proceeding was pending, the indictment alleges he threw stolen items in the trash. Bail was set at $50,000, cash only plus conditions.
13-CR-098. Christopher Brad Culver, 37, Bardstown, promoting contraband, first-degree; possession of marijuana; persistent felony offender, first-degree.
According to the indictment, on Jan. 23, 2013, Culver knowingly brought marijuana into the Nelson County Jail. The indictment cited Culver’s prior felony convictions as basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $25,000, cash only plus conditions.
13-CR-099. James Daniel Carey, 27, Bardstown, possession of controlled substance, first-degree, and complicity to same; tampering with physical evidence; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to same; endangering the welfare of a minor (3 counts); persistent felony offender, second-degree.
According to the indictment, on April 26, 2013, Carey, acting alone or in concert with Jessica Chapman, was found in possession of opiates and drug paraphernalia. The indictment further states Carey, believing an official proceeding was pending, hid a needle and syringe behind a picture. The indictment states Chapman failed to exercise reasonable diligence to prevent the neglect of three children in the home. The indictment cites Carey’s prior felony conviction as basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $25,000 cash only, plus conditions.
13-CR-100. Sean David Carney, 42, Bardstown, trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree; trafficking in marijuana (less than 8 ounces); possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the indictment, on Aug. 15, 2013, Carney allegedly sold cocaine to a confidential informant. He was allegedly found in possession of marijuana with the intent to sell, and drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $20,000 cash only, plus conditions.
13-CR-101. Jessica Lynn Chapman, 25, Bardstown, possession of controlled substance, first-degree, and complicity to same; tampering with physical evidence; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to same; endangering the welfare of a minor (3 counts); persistent felony offender, second-degree.
According to the indictment, on April 26, 2013, Chapman, acting alone or in concert with James Carney, was found in possession of opiates and drug paraphernalia. 13-CR-102. Ouckie Jermaine Hughes, 29, Bardstown, trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree; trafficking controlled substances within 1,000 feet of a school; possession of drug paraphernalia; persistent felony offender, first-degree.
According to the indictment, on Aug. 29, 2012, Hughes allegedly sold less than four grams of cocaine to a confidential source within 1,000 feet of Bethlehem High School. The indictment further states Hughes was in possession of drug paraphernalia, and cites Hughes’ prior felony convictions as basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $50,000 cash only plus conditions.
13-CR-103. Shaun Wayne Vittitoe, 33, Boston, wanton endangerment, first-degree; fleeing and evading police, first-degree (motor vehicle); fleeing and evading police, first-degree (on foot); resisting arrest; operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs/etc.; failure of owner to maintain required insurance; possess of open alcoholic beverage container in motor vehicle; speeding; reckless driving; disregarding stop sign; persistent felony offender, first-degree.
According to the indictment, on April 16, 2013, Vittitoe allegedly operated his vehicle in a reckless manner by speeding through downtown and residential areas of New Haven and disobeyed directions to stop his vehicle by police while Vittitoe was under the influence of alcohol/drugs/etc. The indictment also states Vittitoe used or threatened to use physical force or violence while being arrested. The indictment cites Vittitoe’s prior felony convictions as basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $50,000 cash only plus conditions.
13-CR-104. Anthony Guy Tonge, 31, Bardstown, trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree, less than or equal to 4 grams cocaine; trafficking in controlled substance, second-degree, less than 10 dosage units; possession of controlled substances, first degree; possession of controlled substance, second-degree; possession of marijuana; persistent felony offense, first-degree.
According to the indictment, on Feb. 24, 2013, Tonge allegedly possessed four or more grams of cocaine, and hydrocodone pills with the intent to sell. The indictment further states he was in possession of marijuana. The indictment cites Tonge’s prior felony convictions as basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $50,000 cash only plus conditions.
13-CR-105. Chaylon T. Unseld, 18, Bardstown, cultivating marijuana, five or more plants, and complicity to the same; possession of a firearm while committing an offense; trafficking in marijuana and complicity to same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to same.
According to the indictment, on April 24, 2013, Unseld, acting alone or in concert with Jason Unseld and Tonya Unseld, cultivated five or more marijuana plants with the intent to sell, and in possession of drug paraphernalia. The indictment further states Unseld was in possession of a Ruger P-95 handgun and a Remington rifle. at the time of the offense. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.
13-CR-106. Jacob Frank Johnson, 25, Bardstown, burglary, third-degree; theft by unlawful taking under $300; criminal mischief, third-degree.
According to the indictment, on March 31, 2013, Johnson allegedly entered Auto Zone with the intent to commit a crime, taking items having a value of less than $300 while causing property damage of less than $500. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only plus conditions.
13-CR-107. Tonya Lynn Unseld, 37, Bardstown, cultivating marijana, five or more plants, and complicity to the same; possession of a firearm while committing an offense; trafficking in marijuana and complicity to same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to same.
According to the indictment, on April 24, 2013, Unseld, acting alone or in concert with Jason Unseld and Chaylon Unseld, cultivated five or more marijuana plants with the intent to sell, and in possession of drug paraphernalia. The indictment further states Unseld was in possession of a Ruger P-95 handgun and a Remington rifle. at the time of the offense. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.
13-CR-108. Scottie Lee Newton, 41, Bardstown, theft of vehicle registration plate/decal.
According to the indictment, on March 30, 2013, Newton allegedly took a license plate belonging to another person. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only plus conditions.
13-CR-109. Jason Keith Unseld, 39, Bardstown, cultivating marijuana, five or more plants, and complicity to the same; possession of a firearm while committing an offense; trafficking in marijuana and complicity to same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to same.
According to the indictment, on April 24, 2013, Unseld, acting alone or in concert with Tonya Unseld and Chaylon Unseld, cultivated five or more marijuana plants with the intent to sell, and in possession of drug paraphernalia. The indictment further states Unseld was in possession of a Ruger P-95 handgun and a Remington rifle. at the time of the offense. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.
13-CR-110. Kevan Chance Hawthorne, 18, Bardstown, receiving stolen property.
According to the indictment, on April 10, 2013, Hawthorne allegedly received or disposed of a Dell laptop computer and iPod belonging to another person while knowing it was stolen having a value of $500 or more but less than $10,000. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only plus conditions.
13-CR-111. John Carlos Lewis, 26, Bardstown, cruelty to animals, first-degree (10 counts); persistent felony offender, second-degree.
According to the indictment, on April 1, 2013, Lewis was owner of a dog and unlawfully participated in the organization of a dog fight for pleasure or profit (10 counts). The indictment cites Lewis’ prior felony convictions as the basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $50,000 cash only plus conditions.
13-CR-112. Bryan A. Lee, 24, Bardstown, burglary, second-degree; unlawful imprisonment, second-degree; disorderly conduct, second-degree.
According to the indictment, on May 12, 2013, Lee unlawfully entered a residence belonging to another person with the intent to commit a crime, restraining an individual and preventing her from leaving. The indictment further states Lee began to curse and fight with Bardstown Police Officer Kyler Wright. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only plus conditions.
13-CR-113. April Renea Thompson, 30, Bardstown, unlawful access to a computer, first-degree, and complicity to the same.
According to the indictment, on March 29, 2013, Thompson, acting alone or in concert with Candice Callahan, willfully accessed or attempted to access a another person’s computer, software or data network to obtain money, property or services by false or fraudulent pretenses without their consent. Bsil was set at $5,000 cash only plus conditions.
13-CR-114. Troy Shayne Ramsey, 27, Bardstown, burglary, second-degree and complicity to same; theft by unlawful taking under $500 and complicity to same; criminal mischief, third-degree and complicity to same.
According to the indictment, on March 31, Ramsey, acting alone or in concert with Mallory McGahey and Evan Hillard, unlawfully entered another individual’s residence with the intent to commit a crime, took items with a value of less than $500, and damaged property having the value of less than $500. Bail was set at $20,000 cash only plus conditions.
13-CR-115. Candice Faye Callahan, 22, Campbellsville, unlawful access to a computer, first-degree, and complicity to the same.
According to the indictment, on March 29, 2013, Callahan, acting alone or in concert with April Thompson, willfully accessed or attempted to access a another person’s computer, software or data network to obtain money, property or services by false or fraudulent pretenses without their consent. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only plus conditions.
13-CR-116. Mallory Leighann McGahey, 21, Bardstown, burglary, second-degree and complicity to same; theft by unlawful taking under $500 and complicity to same; criminal mischief, third-degree and complicity to same.
According to the indictment, on March 31, McGahey, acting alone or in concert with Troy Ramsey and Evan Hillard, unlawfully entered another individual’s residence with the intent to commit a crime, took items with a value of less than $500, and damaged property having the value of less than $500. Bail was set at $20,000 cash only plus conditions.
13-CR-117. Leonard Wayne Phillips, 54, Bardstown, arson, first-degree; wanton endangerment, first-degree.
According to the indictment, on April 12, 2013, Phillips allegedly started a fire in an apartment above Broken T night club at 709 W. Stephen Foster Ave. while the night club was full of patrons with the intent to damage or destroy the residence. Bail was set at $100,000 cash only plus conditions.
13-CR-118. Evan Hillard, 24, Bardstown, burglary, second-degree and complicity to same; theft by unlawful taking under $500 and complicity to same; criminal mischief, third-degree and complicity to same.
According to the indictment, on March 31, 2013, Hillard, acting alone or in concert with Troy Ramsey and Mallory McGahey, unlawfully entered another individual’s residence with the intent to commit a crime, took items with a value of less than $500, and damaged property having the value of less than $500. Bail was set at $20,000 cash only plus conditions.
13-CR-119, Stephanie Denise Edelen, 26, Bardstown, trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree (3 counts); possession of drug paraphernalia (3 counts); endangering the welfare of a minor.
According to the indictment, on July 3, 2012, July 10, 2012, and July 30, 2012, Edelen sold less than four grams of cocaine on each date to a confidential source while in possession of drug paraphernalia. The indictment further states Edelen failed to exercise reasonable diligence to prevent a child from being neglected. Bail was set at $20,000 cash only plus conditions.
13-CR-120. Deshawn Pascal Aquino, 20, Bardstown, terroristic threatening, second-degree.
According to the indictment, on April 18, 2013, Aquino called the Bardstown Walmart store and made a false statement that he had placed a weapon of mass destruction in the Bardstown Walmart store. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only plus conditions.
13-CR-121. Ronald L. Jones, 27, Bardstown, theft by deception over $500.
According to the indictment, Jones passed a check at Shelburne TV for $634.94 knowing it would not be honored by the bank. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only plus conditions.
