Bloomfield receives LTADD grant for police cruiser upgrade

Tuesday, May 21, 2013 — Bloomfield Police Chief Kenny Downs accepted an Area Development Fund (ADF) grant award from state Rep. David Floyd at the regular meeting of the Lincoln Trail Area Development District (LTADD) Board of Directors on Wednesday, May 15.

On behalf of Governor Steve Beshear, Wendell Lawrence, executive director of the LTADD, announced the City of Bloomfield received a grant totaling $3,770.91 for the Bloomfield Police cruiser “Upfit” project.

Janice Rawson, the LTADD public information administrator, worked closely with the city in the application process.  City officials said her assistance was invaluable in acquiring the grant which will make the city’s police chief and its citzens safer.
