First Cedar Creek Baptist to hold Memorial Day service Sunday

Thursday, May 23, 2013 — The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church will have a Memorial Day service 11 a.m. Sunday, May 26, 2013, to honor first responders of the community including fire, police, and emergency medical personnel. The special guest speaker is Master Trooper Norman Chaffins, Kentucky Affairs Officer for the Kentucky State Police Post 4 located in Elizabethtown.
Chaffins is a native of Leitchfield and a good friend of First Cedar Creek Pastor Tim Lucas, who is also a native of the Leitchfield area.
The pastor will have a brief message at the close of the service. He especially encourages children and youth to attend. Helping to plan this special service is Capt. Sam O’Bryan of the Kentucky National Guard who is also a member of The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church.

The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church is located 5 miles west of Bardstown off Boston Road (Hwy 62) on Bellwood Road (Hwy 733).
