City’s Memorial Day observance set for 11 a.m. Monday at B’town cemetery
Saturday, May 25, 2013 — The annual Memorial Day commemoration at the Bardstown Cemetery begins 11 a.m. Monday, May 27, 2013, at the cemetery’s main gazebo.
Bardstown Police Chief Rick McCubbin is the featured speaker. First-responder chaplains Terry Troutman and Karl Lusk will serve as ministers during the ceremony. Kenny Fogle will serve as emcee.
The commemoration is sponsored by American Legion Posts 121 and 167. Light refreshments will be served at Post 167 on Downs Lane after the ceremony.
The Fairfield Cemetery will hold its Memorial Day service 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2013, at the cemetery between Fairfield and Bloomfield off High Grove Road on Fairfield Cemetery Loop.
