Police, EMS respond for pedestrian struck by vehicle on Fairfield Rd.

Monday, May 27, 2013, 10 a.m. — Police and Nelson County EMS were called to the 900 block of Fairfield Road just after midnight Monday morning for a reported pedestrian struck by a vehicle. Kentucky State Police and officers from the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. Dispatchers reported the incident may have been a suicide attempt. The male patient was found conscious in the roadway. He was transported from the scene by EMS directly to University Hospital.
