Police: Facebook donations group not authorized by family or Nelson County Board of Education

Monday, May 27, 2013, 5 p.m. — The Bardstown Police Department reports they have been receiving requests regarding a Facebook group called “Giving forward Officer Jason Ellis Memorial Fund.” This group is not authorized by the family or the Nelson County Board of Education.

A fund for donations is being setup by the local Fraternal Order of Police No. 43. Details on making donations will be forthcoming soon Tuesday.

Those who wish to donate may leave their donations at the Bardstown Police Department.
