WBRT to broadcast services for Officer Jason Ellis on Thursday live

May 28, 2013, 8:55 a.m. — The funeral services for slain Bardstown Police Officer Jason Ellis will be broadcast Thursday morning live from Parkway Baptist Church by Bardstown’s only radio station WBRT on 1320 AM, 97.1 FM and streaming live on the Internet, www.WBRTCountry.com and www.NelsonCountyGazette.com. The funeral is 11 a.m. with burial to follow in Highview Cemetery in Chaplin.

The funeral service will also be videotaped and rebroadcast that evening on BRTV, Bardstown cable channel 19.

Visitation for Officer Ellis is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Parkway Baptist Church.

Traffic on US150 near the church is expected to be very heavy during Officer Ellis’ visitation and funeral, and police recommend those who need to travel through the area consider taking an alternative route.
