KSP: Woman’s body found by mowing crews along I-65
May 29, 2013, 11:55 a.m. — The body of an unidentified woman was found Wednesday morning about 9:30 a.m. along Interstate 65 by a mowing company cutting the right-of-way near the 99 mile marker on the northbound lanes.
The Kentucky State Police have closed the right land of I-65 from the 98 mile market to the 99-1/2 in order for KSP detectives to investigate the scene. The right lane is expected to be closed for several hours.
A KSP press released confirmed that the body was of a woman, but not more details were released.
The Hardin County Coroner is on the scene. The body will be taken to the state medical examiner’s office in Louisville for examination.
The investigation is ongoing.
