DAVID WILLIAM BOBLITT SR.

David Willam Boblitt Sr., 83, of Bardstown, died Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. He was born Dec. 18, 1929, in Nelson County. He was the owner and operator of Unique Salvage and an Air Force veteran in the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Essie Ball Wilson Boblitt.

He is survived by his special companion, Freida Hibbs of Bardstown; one daughter, Debra Phemester of Bardstown; two sons, David W. Boblitt Jr. of Yakima, Wash. and Marlin (Elaine) Boblitt of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; five grandchildren; and one great- grandchild.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with burial in the New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Darrell Goodlett will officiate.

Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2013, and 8:30-11 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home.

Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
