JOSEPH WILLIAM MCCUBBINS SR.
Joseph William McCubbins, Sr., 84, of Bardstown, died Sunday, June 2, 2013, at Regency Rehab in Louisville. He was born Sept. 15, 1928, in Nelson County. He retired from the U.S. Air Force and more than 19-1/2 years of civil service. He was a member of the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by a stepson, Robert B. Carricato; and his parents, Verlie and Agnes Darnell Greenwell McCubbins.
He is survived by his wife, Emma Jean Gilmore McCubbins; one daughter, Jean Stahl of Gifford, Ill.; three sons, Joseph W. McCubbins Jr. of Thomasboro, Ill., Patrick Michael McCubbins and David K. McCubbins, both of Irmo, S.C.;
one stepson, Thomas Patrick Carricato of White Rock, S.C.; one brother, Frank McCubbins of Cornesville, Tenn.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2013, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown with burial in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation is 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2013, at the funeral home.
Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
