THOMAS BERNARD NORRIS
Thomas Bernard Norris, 74, of Loretto, died Friday, June 7, 2013, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He was born Sept. 18, 1938, in Nelson County. He was a retired employee of Barton Distillery in Bardstown and a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Lee and Agnes Donahue Norris; one sister, Catherine Smith; and one brother, William Norris.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Shirley Norris; two daughters, Jana Ballard of Loretto and Karen Turnau (Jeff) of Pickerington, Ohio; four sons, Tom Norris, Jr. (Lori) of Tipp City, Ohio, Rick Norris (Rhonda) of Taylorsville, Joe Norris of Raywick and Gary Norris of Loretto; three sisters, Mary Dewitt of Jefferson City, Mo., Lillian Johnson of Radcliff and Mary Lee Miller of Louisville; three brothers, Lee Norris (Estelle) of Holy Cross, Russell Norris (Joyce) of Springfield and Ernest Norris (Shirley) of Waddy; 12 grandchildren, Matthew Ballard, Rebecca Ballard, Olivia Norris, Rachel Norris, Luke Norris, Katie Norris, Nick Norris, Jordan Norris, Kendra Norris, ReAnne Norris, Brandon Turnau and Justin Turnau.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 3560 North Saint Francis Road, Loretto, with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Joseph R. Hemmerle and Rev. Tony Smith will concelebrate.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2013, and 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2013, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto.
Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
