DOROTHY CLEOPHAS ICE
Dorothy Cleophas Ice, 92, of Bardstown, died Sunday, June 9, 2013, at her home. She was born Dec. 27, 1920, in Bardstown. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ben “J.B.” Ice; one infant son, Joseph Ice; two sisters, Minnie Belle Portman and Marie Bowman; and three brothers, George Rapier Snellen, John Stanley Snellen Jr., and Joseph D. Snellen.
She is survived by three daughters, Nancy (David) Miller, Dorothy (Eric) Dant, and Theresa Ann (Gary) Baron, all of Bardstown; eight sons, Joseph K. (Theresa) Ice, Thomas Raymond (Marie) Ice, Bernard (Sherry) Ice, Curtiss (Wanda) Ice, Bobby (Laura) Ice, Donnie Ice, Eddie (Regina) Ice, and Paul Allen (Shannon) Ice, all of Bardstown; one sister, Catherine Abell Portman of Louisville; 21 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and two caregivers, Genny Lovingood and Brenda Conder.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Bill Hammer will officiate.
Visitation is 2–8 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013, and 9-10:15 Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Barlow Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held Tuesday evening.
Memorial contributions may go to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
