Mary Evelyn Allen, 95, Bardstown

Mary Evelyn Allen, 95, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Life Care Centers of Bardstown. She was born Nov. 3, 1917, in Spencer County. She was retired from the old Bardstown Sewing Factory, and was a member of The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Thomas Allen and Sarah Pearl Allen; two sisters, Gladys Pauline Combs and Mable Jean Frazier; and three brothers, James E. “Jimmy” Allen, Paul Allen, and Arthur Leroy Allen.

She is survived by her brother, Charles Blair Allen of Bardstown; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 3 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2013, at The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church, with burial in her church cemetery. Pastor Tim Lucas will officiate.

Visitation will be 12–3 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2013, at the church.
