Bardstown firefighters respond to possible attic fire in High Grove

Monday, June 17, 2013, 1:30 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was called to the High Grove area Sunday night about 8:10 p.m. after a call from a homeowner who said there was smoke coming from the home’s attic. Firefighters were dispatched to the home in the 13000 block of Louisville Road. Emergency personnel, including Nelson County EMS, arrived on scene in minutes, with firefighters confirming smoke was visible coming from the home’s roof area. Firefighters located the source of the fire in the home’s attic. They were at the fire scene until 10:11 p.m.
