Southwestern Nelson, LaRue counties under a severe thunderstorm warning

Monday, June 17, 2013, 4 p.m. — The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for southwestern Nelson County and LaRue County until 4:30 p.m.

At 3:55 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located six miles northeast of Hodgenville and was nearly stationary. Wind gusts up to 60 mph and penny-sized hail are possible.

The storm will be near Hodgenville by 4:30 p.m., and will affect Howardstown, Stiles, Leafdale, Jericho, Buffalo, Boundary Oak and Mathers Mill.
