Firefighters respond to reported grill fire in Copper Fields subdivision
Wednesday, June 18, 2013, 9:30 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded Wednesday evening to the 100 block of Redwood Drive in the Copper Fields subdivision for a reported gas grill on fire. Firefighters were paged at about 9:05 p.m. to respond, and were advised the grill was five feet from a building. The cause was a grease fire which was extinguished prior to firefighters’ arrival. A second source of smoke in the subdivision was also investigated by firefighters, and it was determined to be a fire pit. Firefighters were on scene for about 15 minutes.
