Edward ‘Eddie’ Joseph Wachowski, 86, Lebanon

Edward “Eddie” Joseph Wachowski, 86, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon. He was born May 17, 1927, in wwIIveteranlogoPhiladelphia Pa. and was an Army veteran of World War II. He retired from G.E. after 37 years. He was a member of the Bardstown Church of Christ, a Habitat for Humanity volunteer and gave generously to the Loretto Motherhouse. He attended St. Augustine Catholic Church in Lebanon.

He was preceded in death by one son, David Wayne Wachowski; his parents, Czeslaw and Marianna Ogonowska Wachowski; four sisters, Annie Hearn, Tessie Cichochi, Adela Adamczyk and Mary Fidura; and two brothers, Stanley Wachowski and Walter Wachowski.

He is survived by two sons, Charles (Judy) Wachowski of Louisville, and Kevin (Shirley) Wachowski of Lafayette, Ind.; one daughter, Leah Orozco of Versailles; one sister, Jane Butrica of Towanda, Pa.; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with burial and full military honors in the Bardstown Cemetery.

Visitation is 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2013, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity or the Home of the Innocents.

Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
