Amanda Lucille Swift, 25, was arrested last week and charged with three counts of identity theft; three counts of forgery, second-degree; one count of making false statements to get credit cards; and receiving stolen property under $10,000.

According to police, Swift allegedly used the fraudulently obtained drivers license to obtain loans and credit cards from nine creditors totaling about $7,000. Police investigators discovered Swift also pawned approximately $1,000 worth of stolen property, including electronics, jewelry and other items from another victim.

The investigation is ongoing and police expect more charges as additional victims are identified. Anyone with additional information can contact Bardstown Police at (502) 348-6811 or Nelson County Dispatch, (502) 348-3211.
