Don F. ‘Termite’ Parkerson, 64, Nicholasville, formerly of Nelson County

Don F. “Termite” Parkerson, 64, of Nicholasville, died Sunday, June 23, 2013, at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington. He was a native of Nelson County and was born Sept. 10, 1948. He was a retired owner of Don Parkerson Plumbing and of the Catholic faith.

He was the son of the late William Woodford and Allie Downs Parkerson and preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Ann Parkerson; and one brother, Joseph William Parkerson.

He is survived by two sons, Donald Eric Parkerson of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and Zachary Charles Parkerson of Bardstown; two sisters, Mary Lou Hall of Taylorsville and Barbara Carothers of Bardstown; two brothers, David Michael Parkerson and Jerry Wallace Parkerson, both of Bardstown; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral is 10 a.m. Friday, June 28, 2013,at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with burial in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Raymond Carothers will officiate.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013,at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home.

Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
