First Cedar Creek announces guest speakers, 2013 VBS schedule
Friday, July 12, 2013 — The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church will have guest speakers the next two Sundays at 11 a.m. While the pastor is on vacation, pm Sunday, July 14, 2013, Bro. Bill Johnson will be the guest speark, and on July 21, 2013, Bro. Arland Benningfield will be the speaker.
At 7 p.m. on those two Sunday evenings, the topic will be “Faith, Hope, and Luck” with speaker Andy Stanley via DVD. Also on Sunday evening, July 21, 2013, Devin Sorrell, a student at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Miss., will give a brief presentation of about his recent mission trip Ecuador with a group from his college. He is the son of Dana and Deron Sorrell.
Vacation Bible School will be 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday, July 22 through Friday, July 26. Family night is 7 p.m. Friday, July 26. Children and preteens, age 3 through sixth-grade are invited. The VBS theme is “Colossal Coaster World – Facing Fear, Trusting God.”
All are invited to attend these and other activities of the church including Bible study for all age groups at 9:45 a.m. every Sunday.
The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church is located 5 miles west of Bardstown off Boston Road (Hwy 62) on Bellwood Road (Hwy 733).
