Woman charged with attempted murder after Harrison Fork Road stabbing

Wednesday, July 17, 2013, 12:10 p.m. — A 49-year-old man was injured early Wednesday morning when he was stabbed twice, once in the back of the neck and once in the shoulder, during a domestic altercation at a home on Harrison Fork Road. Police and Nelson County EMS were dispatched to the 2000 block of Harrison Fork Road at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a man who had been stabbed with a knife. The victim was transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital for evaluation of his injuries. He was later transported by EMS to University Hospital.

Mary Lorraine Masden, 50, was arrested at the scene and charged with attempted murder according to the logs at the Nelson County Jail.
