Two injured Saturday afternoon when motorcycle collides with deer

emslogoSaturday, July 20, 2013, 4:30 p.m. –– Two people were injured Saturday afternoon when the motorcycle they were on struck a deer on Parkway Drive near its intersection with Woodlawn Road.

The Bardstown Fire Department, Nelson County EMS and the Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the accident scene. Firefighters were called to clean up gasoline leaking from the motorcycle. The 32-year-old man operating the motorcycle suffered a leg laceration, multiple abrasions and complained of back pain. His 9-year-old passenger complained of a jammed finger and road rash. Both were transported by EMS to Flaget Memorial Hospital.
