BETTY JO DRAGOO

Betty Jo Dragoo, 68, of Bardstown, died Sunday, July 21, 2013, at her home. She was born Feb. 3, 1934, in Louisville. She was a former employee of Subway restaurant and attended The People’s Church.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Joann Downs; two sons, Tony Lyvers and David Lyvers; and her parents, Robert Earl and Lucille Linagur Dragoo.

She is survived by four sons, Michael (Lisha) Lyvers and Scottie “Jeffery”(Kristen) Lyvers both of Bardstown, Todd (Diana) Lyvers of Independent, and Roger (Selena) Lyvers of New Haven; one daughter, Pam (Rodney) Valley of Bardstown; two sisters, Peggy Cissell of Bardstown, Wanda Ferguson of Cox’s Creek and Cindy Durbin of Indiana; 23 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial remembrance service is 2 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2013, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with burial of cremains to follow at St. Thomas Cemetery.

Visitation is 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2013 at the funeral home.

Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
