Margaret Celeste Brady Thompson, 93, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at her home.

She was born Sept. 15, 1919, in Marion County. She was a former housekeeper for the old St. Mary’s College. She was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of St. Charles Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bernard Thompson; her parents, Louis B. and Maggie Settles Brady; three sisters, Aletha Perry, Dorothy Farmer, Maxine Lee; and six brothers, Spencer, Shelton, Everett, O’Shea, Stanley and Frank Brady.

Survivors include one son, Joseph Barton Thompson (Glenda) of Cleveland, Tenn., three daughters, Bernice Lawson (Richard) and Linda Thompson, all of Lebanon, Patricia Nieters (James) of Crestwood; one brother, John Foster Brady of Hodgenville; three sisters-in-law, Goldie Brady, Ernestine Brady and Merle Brady; eight grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, at Saint Charles Catholic Church, 675 Hwy 327, Lebanon, with burial to follow in the St. Augustine cemetery in Lebanon. The Rev. James W. Graf will be the celebrant.

Visitation is 3-9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. conducted by Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

Memorial donations may go to the Kourageous Kids of Hosparus, 3532 Ephraim McDowell Drive, Louisville, KY 40205.

Pallbearers will be Michael Lawson, Chad Nieters, Andrew Nieters, Bobby Thompson, Chris Mills, B. J. Thompson and Jason Whitehouse.

Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of arrangements.
