Burnt popcorn activates fire alarm system at St. Joseph School

Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, 9:22 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded to an active fire alarm at St. Joseph Elementary School, 320 W. Stephen Foster Ave., Saturday night at 8:31 p.m. The alarm was triggered by burnt popcorn in a room adjacent to the school’s gymnasium. The incident commander stayed to help clear the room of smoke. Fire personnel were on scene for about xxx minutes.
