JOHN JUNIOR SMITH
John Junior Smith, 80, of Lebanon, died Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, at his home. He was born June 3, 1933, in Marion County. He was a retired farmer and a member of New Life Christian Church in Bradfordsville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Adrian and Lee Ada Riley Smith; one son, Joseph Michael Smith; and one sister, Margie Wilkerson.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Shirley Yates Smithl; one daughter, Darlene Skaggs of Lebanon; four sons, Johnny Smith (Debbie), Steven Smith (Brenda) and Tim Smith (Julia) all of Lebanon, and Paul Smith (Dana) of Bardstown; two brothers, Robert Lee Smith of Florida and Glen Ray Smith of Lebanon; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with burail in the Holy Trinity Cemetery in Fredericktown. Bro. Herb Goff will officiate.
Visitation is 3-9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at Mattingly Funeral Home.
Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of arrangements.
