Obituary: Agnes Marie Plumb SL, 91, Nerinx

Agnes Marie Plumb SL, 91 of Nerinx, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, at the Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary.

She was born Nov. 11, 1921, in Denver, Colo. to the late John A. and Agnes M. Berry Plumb. She entered religious life in 1939. She attended Loyola University where she earned a Master’s Degree in elementary education. Her assignments included teacher at St. Benedict School in Louisville, principal of Our Lady of Sorrows in Bernalillo, New Mexico, principal of St. Joseph in El Paso, Texas, and co-director of Rhodes Tutoring Center in Littleton, Colo. She retired to the motherhouse in 2007.

A Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, at the Loretto Motherhouse Church with burial to follow in the Motherhouse cemetery.

A vigil will be held 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at the Loretto Motherhouse.
