Obituary: Estelle McCubbin, 93, Bardstown,

Estelle McCubbin, 93, of Bardstown, died Friday, August 16, 2013, at Life Care Center of Bardstown. She was a former Bloomfield resident, a graduate of Campbellsville College, a former employee of the old Central Motor Company Auto Garage and McCubbin’s Supermarket in Bloomfield. She was a member of the Bardstown Baptist Church.

She was the daughter of the late John E. and Lena M. Fidler Brumley, and was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Allen McCubbin; five brothers; and two sisters.

She is survived by two sons, John (Carolyn) McCubbin of Bloomfield and Doug McCubbin of Cincinnati; and two granddaughters, Suzanne (Shane) Henritz of Louisville, and Lori A. McCubbin Lastovich (John McLaughlin) of Shepherdsville.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. Leland Parks and Bro. Dylan Mays officiating. Burial is in the Bardstown Cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, at the funeral home.

The Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
