Bluegrass Institute’s Jim Waters is guest Tuesday on ‘Brooks & Company’

Waters will talk about education choice and an new report by the American Legislative Exchange Council that offers suggestions for states struggling with unfunded pension liabilities. The report echoes a report released this spring by the Bluegrass Institute that highlighted steps state lawmakers need to take to rescue the state workers’ retirement plans from insolvency.
The report, “Future Shock Solutions: 16 steps to treat Kentucky’s public pension ailment” stands in stark contrast to the steps taken during the 2013 session of the Kentucky General Assembly that addressed the public retirement systems’ $34 billion unfunded liability.
