SHIRLEY ANN BRINNER

Shirley Ann Karr Brinner, 76, of Cox’s Creek, died Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. She was born on Feb. 23, 1937, in Bullitt County. She was a homemaker and a member of True Way Ministries.

She was preceded in death by one son, Stephen Brinner; her parents, Arthur and Evelyn McCubbins Karr; three brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Jerome Brinner; eight daughters, Debbie (Austin) Mattingly, Gail (Charlie) Mudd, Bonnie (Joe Hutchins) Nally all of Bardstown, Marilyn (Rayburn) Price, Sandy (Wesley) Yates both of Shepherdsville, Laurie (Glenn) Jones of Loretto, Pam (Jude) Nally of New Haven, and Katie Brinner of San Diego, Calif.; two sons, Gary Shain of Bardstown and Ricky (Rita) Shain of Lexington; one sister, Mary Buckles of Sonora; 25 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with burial in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Bro. Randy Buckles will officiate.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at the funeral home.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
