Robert Leo Cundiff, 74, New Haven

Robert Leo Cundiff, 74, of New Haven, died Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, at his home. He was born May 3, 1939, in Howardstown. He was the son of the late Miles and Mary Agnes Thornberry Cundiff. He was a member of the Catholic faith, and was a farmer who worked for Fred O’Bryan Farms.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo Calhoun Cundiff; one son, Patrick “Pat” Cundiff; and his stepmother, Amy Braden Cundiff.

Survivors include two sons, Dieter (Becky) Cundiff of Bloomfield and Johnny (Karen) Cundiff of New Haven; one sister, Mary Agnes Crain of Hodgenville; one brother, Joe (Mattie Mae) Cundiff; four grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, in the chapel of the William R. Rust Funeral Home, 167 N. Main St., New Haven, with his son, Dieter Cundiff officiating at the funeral home and the Rev. Bruce Nichols officiating at the graveside.

Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, and 9-11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at the funeral home.

The William R. Rust Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
