Bardstown residents asked to call to request mosquito spraying

Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, 9 p.m. — Bardstown residents who wish to have their neighborhoods sprayed for mosquitoes should call Bardstown City Hall between now and 5 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 26th.

Residents are asked to call (502) 348-5947 and leave your name and street address if you would like to have your neighborhood considered.

Councilman John Royalty said Thursday that the mosquito eradication efforts will target the city’s “hot spots.” “I would like to be able to do the entire city, but there’s only a certain amount of money available,” he said.

The program is conducted as a joint effort between the city and the Kentucky Department of Agriculture.

Residents can call City Hall through the end of business Monday. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
