Nelson Circuit Court Indictments, Aug. 21, 2013

Friday, Aug. 23, 2013 – The following people were indicted by a Nelson County grand jury on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013. They are set for arraignment on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, unless otherwise indicated.
13-CR-187. John Dylon Spalding, 28, Bardstown, burglary, second-degree; theft by unlawful taking (2 counts); persistent felony offender, second-degree.
According to the indictment, sometime between March 13 and May 12, 2013, Spalding allegedly entered or remained inside another person’s residence with the intent to commit a crime. The indictment further states on July 4, 2013, Spalding allegedly took jewelry belonging to another person with a value of $500 or more but less than $10,000, and on Aug. 3, 2013, took an HP laptop computer, Nikon camera and jewelry belonging to another person having a value of $500 or more but less than $10,000. The indictment cites Spalding’s prior felony convictions as the basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $50,000 cash only, plus conditions.
13-CR-188. Dale Louis Brown, 54, New Haven, assault, second-degree; persistent felony offender, second-degree.
According to the indictment, on July 2, 2013, Brown allegedly assaulted by hitting him in the head and face, causing serious physical injury. The indictment cited Brown’s previous felony conviction as the basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $200,000 cash only , plus conditions
13-CR-189. Reid Shacoi “Coi” Young, 19, Bardstown, riot, first-degree.
According to the indictment, on Aug. 11, 2013, Young, acting alone or in concert with Marcus Grundy, Quacy Sheckles, Brant Sheckles, a juvenile, and others, allegedly created a public disturbance with violent conduct that created a grave danger of damage or injury to property or persons and resulted in physical injury of several individuals. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.
13-CR-190. Alec James Goodrich, 27, Cox’s Creek, cultivating marijuana, five plants or more and complicity to the same; possession of a firearm while committing an offense; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same; possession of marijuana and complicity to the same.
According to the indictment, on June 19, 2013, Goodrich — acting alone or in concert with Angel Graves, allegedly cultivated five or more marijuana plants with the intent to sell marijuana while in the possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a firearm. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.
13-CR-191. Brant Joseph Sheckles, 24, Bardstown, assault, second-degree; riot, first-degree.
According to the indictment on Aug. 11, 2013, Sheckles — acting along or in concert with Marcus Grundy, Quacy Sheckles, Coi Young, a juvenile, and others, allegedly struck a juvenile in the head with a rock, causing serious physical injury, and created a public disturbance with violent conduct creating a grave danger of damage or injury to person or property, resulting in the physical injury of several individuals. Bail was set at $25,000 cash only, plus conditions.
13-CR-192. Angel Leigh Graves, 23, Cox’s Creek, cultivating marijuana, five plants or more and complicity to the same; possession of a firearm while committing an offense; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same; possession of marijuana and complicity to the same.
According to the indictment, on June 19, 2013, Graves — acting alone or in concert with Alec Goodrich, allegedly cultivated five or more marijuana plants with the intent to sell marijuana while in the possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a firearm. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.
13-CR-193. Quacy Levelle Sheckles, 19, Bardstown, riot, first-degree.
According to the indictment, on Aug. 11, 2013, Sheckles — acting along or in concert with Marcus Grundy, Coi Young, Brant Sheckles, a juvenile, and others, allegedly created a public disturbance with violent conduct creating a grave danger of damage or injury to person or property, resulting in the physical injury of several individuals. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.
13-CR-194. Brady Thomas Adkins, 21, Mount Washington, burglary, first-degree and complicity to the same; possession of a handgun by a convicted felony.
According to the indictment, Adkins, acting along or in concert with another individual, entered or remained inside a residence with the intent to commit a crime while armed with a 9mm Hi Point pistol. Bail was set at $25,000 cash only, plus conditions.
13-CR-195. Marcus Terrell Grundy, 19, Bardstown, riot, first-degree.
According to the indictment, on Aug. 11, 2013, Sheckles — acting along or in concert with Coi Young, Quacy Sheckles, Brant Sheckles, a juvenile, and others, allegedly created a public disturbance with violent conduct creating a grave danger of damage or injury to person or property, resulting in the physical injury of several individuals. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.
13-CR-196. Ashley L. Nalley, 29, Bloomfield, fraudulent use of a credit or debit card; knowing exploitation of an adult over $300.
According to the indictment, between April 1 and June 30, 2013, Nalley allegedly used a credit card belonging to another person to obtain money in the amount of $500 or more but less than $10,000 without authorization or permission. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.
13-CR-197. Charles David Foster, 44, Bardstown, burglary, first-degree; criminal mischief, first-degree; wanton endangerment, first-degree; disorderly conduct, second-degree; possession of marijuana; alcohol intoxication in a public place.
According to the indictment, on April 22, 2013, Foster entered or remained unlawfully in Bardstown Mills with the intent to commit a crime, damaging property having the value of $1,000 or more. The indictment further alleges that Foster lit a cigarette then fell asleep, starting a fire at 204 West Muir while the residence was occupied with people. When questioned by an officer, he alleged cursed and fought with the officer while intoxicated and in possession of marijuana. Bail was set at $50,000 cash only, plus conditions.
13-CR-198. William Lamar Knotts, 59, Bardstown, theft by unlawful taking.
According to the indictment, between May 1 and June 3, 2013, Knotts allegedly took various museum and gift shop items belonging to the Civil War Museum and the Natural History Museum having a value of $500 or more but less than $10,000. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.
13-CR-199. Travis Scott Hill, 24, Chaplin, rape, third-degree.
According to the indictment, on May 24, 2013, Hill allegedly had sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 16 years old. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.
13-CR-200. Scott E. Isgrigg, 42, Boston, receiving stolen property (2 counts); persistent felony offender, second-degree.
According to the indictment, on July 16, 2013, Isgrigg allegedly received, retained or disposed of a license plate with a value of less than $500, and a Dodge pickup truck belonging to other individuals and having reason to believe the items were stolen, and having a value of $500 or more and less than $10,000. The indictment cites Isgrigg’s previous felony convictions as the basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $25,000 cash only, plus conditions.
13-CR-201. William Lee “Billy” Anderson, 36, Willisburg, possession of a controlled substance, first-degree; tampering with physical evidence; possession of drug paraphernalia; delivery or manufacture of drug paraphernalia; operating an ATV on the roadway.
According to the indictment, on Aug. 4, 2013, Anderson allegedly possessed methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia while operating an ATV on a roadway. The indictment further alleges Anderson possessed drug paraphernalia with the intent to deliver or manufacture paraphernalia used to introduce a controlled substance into the body, and when he believed an official proceeding was pending, hid a glass pipe containing white residue on the ATV he was operating. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.
13-CR-202. Eric Scott Crump, 32, Bardstown, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
According to the indictment, on July 30, 2013, Crump, who had been previously convicted of a felony, was in possession of a .22 caliber Stevens rifle. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.
