Pair of accidents snarl noon-hour traffic Friday on North Third St.
Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, 2 a.m. — A pair of traffic accidents snarled traffic on North Third Street at noon hour Friday, with 
three of four lanes blocked by vehicles involved in the accidents.
The first accident was reported at about 11:52 Friday morning. One person was injured in the two-vehicle accident at the intersection of North Third Street and East Daugherty Avenue involving a Honda Civic and a Ford Focus.
Bardstown Police officers were dispatched to what was initially reported as a non-injury accident. After officers arrived, a 22-year-old woman involved in the accident requested to go to the hospital due to a hand injury. Nelson County EMS transported the woman to Flaget Memorial Hospital for treatment.
While police were investigating th accident, a second accident involving two pickup trucks occurred at the intersection, block all but one southbound lane of traffic on North Third Street. Police were on the scene for about 30 minutes.
