Bardstown firefighters respond to Cedar Grove Rd. field fire

Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, 9:30 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was called to the area of 1345 Cedar Grove Road Wednesday afternoon for a reported field fire. Nelson County Dispatch received the call about 4:35 p.m., with a report that a utility pole in the field was also on fire. Firefighters reported the fire was out on their arrival. Residents in the area reported they had experienced power surges, and the utility was notified about the damaged utility pole. Firefighters were on scene for about 25 minutes.
