Man ejected in rollover crash Friday evening on Bloomfield Road

Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, 9:30 p.m. — A 59-year-old man was injured Friday night in a single-vehicle rollover accident near the intersection of Bloomfield Road and Thruway Drive. Nelson County EMS and the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the area at just before 7 p.m. The vehicle rolled multiple times and the man was ejected. He was found by bystanders unresponsive on the roadway. The man was transported to the Flaget helipad by Nelson County EMS with injuries to his head and face. He was transferred to a medical helicopter and flown  to University Hospital in Louisville for treatment of his injuries.
