Driver arrested after driving at high speeds on wrong side of BG Parkway
Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, 7 p.m. — The driver of a black, late model Chevy Malibu SS with temporary tags was arrested early Saturday morning after he was reportedly driving in excess of 80 mph eastbound in the westbound lanes of the Blue Grass Parkway.
Beginning about 5:30 a.m. Saturday, Nelson County Dispatch received multiple calls about the car driving in the wrong lanes heading east beginning just west of the Boston exit. A Bardstown Police officer driving west met the car coming east between the 21 and 20 mile markers. He turned around and with lights and sirens on, stopped the vehicle just east of the 21 mile marker. The driver was arrested and taken to the Nelson County Jail.
