Man hospitalized after overdose on prescription medication

Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, 6:50 p.m. — Nelson County EMS and the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office responded at 10:22 Monday morning to the 100 block of Jefferson Avenue in Presidential Estates for a reported intentional overdose on prescription medicine. A 34-year-old man at a residence there had allegedly taken approximately 80 200 mg doses of a depression medication. He was taken to Flaget Memorial Hospital for treatment.
