Obituary: David Michael Fogle, Sr., 63, of Bardstown
David Michael Fogle, Sr., 63, of Bardstown, died Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, at his home. He was born July 5, 1950, in Louisville.
He had 18 years of service with Bardstown Laundry and retired from Nelson County School System in 2011. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, a 1968 graduate of St. Joe Prep. and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Fogle and a sister, Laura Fogle.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Hamilton Fogle of Bardstown; one daughter, Angela Marie Fogle of Bardstown; two sons, David Michael Fogle, Jr. of Indianapolis, Ind., and Stephen Matthew Fogle of Bardstown; his father, John Fogle Jr. of Bardstown; six sisters, Denise (Gayle) Woodruff of Buffalo, N.Y., Susan (Mike) Westoff of St. Louis, Mo., Sherry Fogle, Pat (Jim) Florence, Katie (Pat) Clarke, and Stacey (Keith) Miles, all of Bardstown; two brothers, John (Juanita) Fogle III, of Bardstown, and Robert (Jan) Fogle of Lexington;
five grandchildren, Kimberly Anne Taylor, Jason Wayne Taylor, Jr., Jeremy Allen Taylor, Rebekah Anne Fogle and Jacob Michael Hudson Fogle; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto Cathedral with burial in the church cemetery at a later date. The Rev. Bill Hammer will officiate.
Visitation is 3–8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, and 9–10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at Barlow Funeral Home in Bardstown with a prayer service 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may go to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Barlow Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
