Firefighters respond to active fire alarm on Westridge Court

Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, 6:40 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded to a commercial fire alarm Tuesday evening at Jones Tax Service, 3401 Westridge Court west of Bardstown at about 6 p.m. Firefighters arrived to find smoke in the home caused by burned food on the stove. Firefighters used their equipment to ventilate the building and remove the smoke. They were on the scene for about 30 minutes.
