Leland Conway tapped to fill Mandy Connell’s slot on 84WHAS

Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013 — Nelson County residents who have wondered who will fill Mandy Connell’s 9 a.m. to noon talk show slot on 84 WHAS now have their answer: Leland Conway.

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment announced Wednesday that Conway will takeover Connell’s slot beginning Monday, Sept. 16th.

Conway is no stranger to talk radio. He is a Kentucky native who hosted a talk show on Lexington’s NewsRadio 630 WLAP for six years. Prior to that, he worked on the play-by-play broadcast crew for Georgetown College and Eastern Kentucky University. Most recently, he was host of a daily talk show in the 3-6 p.m. slot following the Rush Limbaugh syndicated talk show on WRVA 1140 AM in Richmond, Va.
