Bardstown Fire investigates unusual odor Sunday on Wildcat Lane

Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013, 9 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire department was called to Here Today, Gone Tomorrow, 103 Wildcat Lane at 11:41 Sunday morning for an odor investigation. Firefighters detected an unknown odor in the building and investigated to find its source. Their search led them to Fastenal, 101 Wildcat Lane, where the source was found to be an electric fork truck with a battery problem. The fork truck was removed from the building and firefighters used their equipment to remove fumes from the building. Fire units were on scene for about 45 minutes.
