Youths charged in thefts from vehicles in Alexander Ct. area

Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, 2 p.m. — Two juveniles face theft charges after they were involved with thefts from vehicles in the Alexander Court area.
While responding to a report of two boys lying on Alexander Court, Bardstown police located the youths, ages 12 and 16. Police also discovered numerous items believed to have been taken from vehicles in the area, including two GPS units, a camera, a cell phone, a wallet and prescription narcotics. One of the juveniles admitted to stealing the items overnight in the area.
Both were charged with theft by unlawful taking. The juveniles’ parents and/or guardians were cited for curfew violations.
