Firefighters respond to active fire alarm at Barlow Funeral Home
Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, 10:25 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department is responding to Barlow Funeral Home, 2675 East John Rowan Blvd for an active fire alarm.
10:31 a.m. — The alarm company has asked to cancel the fire department response. Incident commander now on scene reports there is smoke in the building and they have the doors open to ventilate it.
10:36 a.m. — They believe the source of the smoke is a furnace. Firefighters continue to investigate.
11:14 a.m. — Firefighters find a broken freon line in a HVAC system and determine it was the cause of the problem. All units are leaving the scene.
